There was a time when I was solid
There was a time I had thick lush hair
Don't remember when everything got squalid
Cause it wasn't me and I wasn't there...

Do you remember when we had that old car
And dirt roads as far as either of us could see
'Member when I got that deep scar?
That looked a bit like you and a lot like me

Do you remember the year that I stopped drinking
Cause your smile had hardened and turned to stone
I was sitting at our kitchen table and thinking
Must I numb myself to feel at home?

There was a time when I was solid
There was a time I had thick lush hair
Don't remember when everything got squalid
Cause it wasn't me cause I wasn't there...

There once was a certain man who lived in a hotel on a main street of a large town .The common room faced the street and from where the man always sat, he could see the goings-on and passersby through the large picture window. He started to notice that the women who passed by would stare at him and smile, sometimes coyishly perhaps brushing a strand of hair from their faces at the last moment, and then rushing on.It continued for sometime. Finally, unable to contain himself, the man confided in his next door neighbour the startling facts. It was at this point Dwayne (his next door neighbour) stated the women,in fact, were not looking at him,but they were on their way some where and they were making sure they looked ok by checking themselves out in the reflection of the glass and that,in fact, none of them had even notice the man.Upon hearing this, the man promptly moved to another hotel.Dwayne never heard from the man again.
