Again, while everyone is entitled to their opinion about everything, this particular thread is asking musicians about their songwriting process. This is explicitly stated in the OP whether you choose to pretend it doesn't exist or not.

this is under the assumption that all who posted here, except me, are musicians who have put out albums, right?

The OP of this thread isn't specifying people who have released albums, just "MB members who make music".

does writing my own song once with a help of a friend who knows how to play a guitar about 2 years ago though i haven't recorded any of it yet count? or does being able to sing or part of a choir back in college count? or it depends on the OP's perception of what a musician is?

Not only does it depend on the OP's perception of what a musician is but it also depends on the perception of others that have commented in said thread

If you make music and feel like discussing your songwriting process with regards to the questions asked in the OP go for it.

i just did that and was about to add more until i read posts of some simpering simpletons trying to sound like a better musician than anyone else on this planet therefore i don't have the slightest right to have an opinion on this thread. i'm ashamed that some people feel i don't have any capability to lyrically advise anyone here just because i don't make music, as quoted by OP i guess.

ah piss off

read what I said about my songs

it's purposefully crap to attract fans of Daniel Johnston

and all of it was recorded 15 years ago when I only listened to hair metal

I'll be doing my proper demo soon once I get a bass and borrow's my fren's drum machine
