It's pretty much a guarantee that I will witness another separation. Is it too much to ask that I wish not to be part of this pain? Every single time it happens, I have to just sit here. Act like nothing is going wrong. When in actuality, everything has gone to shit. I would just like to know what is going on in your head, to make you think that this is ok. You've done this numerous times before, and you told yourselves you wouldn't get back together, but look at you, you're back together, and you are still throwing shit and fighting. Is it really healthy to raise a family, under such circumstances? I think not. Am I allowed to tell you how I am feeling about the situation? Sure, I could do that, but would you listen to me? Absolutely not. |

Titled: I Love You Like I Say I Do
I don’t just say the words to make you smile, The words I speak have true feelings toward you, truer than anything that has ever been spoken. It’s never been difficult to tell you how I feel about you, never difficult to tell you how much I care, how much I want to hold you, how often I dream and think of you, anything with you is easy, thanks to the love we share. There’s nothing like it, there will never be anything else like it. It’s perfect. We’re perfect. |

Titled: Dear, You
Hold your hand in mine, hold your soul with mine. We are two, merged into one. There are so many words I could say, that wouldn’t even come close to the amount of love I show for you, for the amount of warmth your soul brings to my heart, the amount of freedom you give my heart to hold onto yours. Our souls speak as we speak, “i love you, with everything in my power”. “i love you too, with my heart and soul”. More love than we know what to do with, enough love to last a lifetime. |

Just submitted my first e-book for Amazon. If you don't know what i'm talking about, read here.
I'm posting it here, because I feel this thread has died a bit, and it gives me an excuse to continue posting my stuff in here. Plus, i'm just really excited. |

I feel like these aren't poetic. There are a lot of cliches and they sound a little angsty. I don't know if they're just meant to perform, and I can't feel it, but honestly, a lot of them just sound like a long drawn out sentence or a diary entry that you didn't think anyone would pick up.
I write poetry too, and I understand that it's just supposed to be an expression of emotion, a burst perhaps, but I don't feel there's a flow here. Maybe emotion, maybe a cry for attention, but I don't know if there is really depth to it all. |

I'm by no means an expert on poetry in any way, but I do enjoy it. Honestly though, I've never been a huge fan of the angstier poetry, and that's what this seems to be. It's not bad, but not really my favorite flavor of poetry.
Keep up the good work, though.
