Mystery and strange rythms by Swedish girl
I’m a Swedish lyricist but I love english and I write songs in that beautifull language. I’d like your opinion about a text about which I was told it’s weird. What do you think?
Your opinion about any aspect of lyrics means so much to me : Spacetrip I was on my way to Mars And so close to a star I met a handsome man O my, he was so cute, that guy I stopped my travel for a while And stayed so I could cry He talked just by way of stardust Never by a forecast, But I couldn’t see clouds, nor sun, But he was so much fun! I had to get him to take part So this journey could start. Freedom, sadness. Freedom, sadness. Lost in space, no way home. Give me a shelter. So I took him by the hand To see another land And walk the milky way for love, But he escaped, my dove. “This isn’t poetry”, he said And turned away his head. So I left him on his star And watch him from afar. I must stay on the earth Oh, well, I have to earn my mirth. But, when I see the milky way I always feel dismay. Freedom, sadness. Freedom, sadness. Lost in space, No way home, Give me a shelter. So I left him on his star, And watch him from afar, I must stay on the earth. Oh well, I have to earn my mirth! But when I see the milky way I always feel dismay |

Hi, Viktoria!
Oh, a beautiful pathetical text, I hope, it wasn't your partner, you write about! But it really describes very good the feeling of being in love, flying high somewhere in space and suddenly being back on earth, in reality, ...! So, keep on writing :-) Well than, hälsa så mycket åt Sverige av Tyskland! (I think, I still have to improve my Swedish:-) a nice weekend! ~ Schmidti |

There are many, many songs written by English speaking natives that don't come near to these lyrics. Although I don't particularly like songs that employ space as imagery, I think you did a good job with your metaphores and overall enjoyed the lyrics very much. This is a good start!
Keep writing. |

Hi,
What do you think? It’s another side of my band. I’d like your opinion on everything you can think of. The video comes from a local TV show where we performed playback a couple of years ago. youtube.com/watch?v=LWZpepwl8Ps I KNOW WHAT YOU WANT I know what you want But you won't get it I want you to long You won’t regret it It’s so 'cause I know that when you get me You’ll choose another flower you can pick on the planet And I’ll lose you. So I fight and I go only where you’re not And you'll catch me if you can But running’s not enough So be daring, love I know what you want But you won't get it I want you to long You won’t regret it It’s so 'cause I know that when you get me You’ll choose another flower you can pick on the planet And I’ll lose you. So I fight and I go only where you’re not And you'll catch me if you can But running’s not enough So be daring, love You’re cute With your roses and your poses to impress me What imagination you show just to reach me I don’t want to lose it I don’t want to hear the lies Of the husbands when their wives Are conquested and So I’d better play with you |
