Dylanistic - Hip Hop
Alright so this is my songwriting thread. Cool.
Let's cut to the chase. This is a track I finished recording last week. It may prompt you to download (depending on your browser), if so just click "Open". |

I enjoyed the instrumentals, too...especially the part where some little notes go up the scale quickly (such as around 0:36), and also the places where the chords are held in quite a somber and beautiful way (such as at the end). Did you use acoustic guitar at the beginning? I think you did and if so, I really liked that that. I enjoy the combination of the electronic sound with traditional instruments. I think my favorite lines are "Can I let the ground do the walking" and "Can I let my mouth do the listening," since these invert the way reality works: our legs do the walking, not the ground; our mouth does the talking, not the listening. I'll have to listen to the song again, since you have packed a lot into the lyrics. I also liked, "I'm afraid the days have a limit," because they do. I also felt the recording sounds very professional and the words are said/sung clearly, which I liked.

Thanks for listening Vegangelica! We did indeed use an acoustic guitar at the beginning of the track. I agree, I like when synth and acoustics are mixed. Thanks for the compliment and thanks for taking the time out to listen.
