The last song of my Song A Week project, Song#53
Cradle To Grave It's the death of another year gone around And I'm closer to the cradle than the grave still But I still feel panic as my hair's go grey Watch a little life go day by day I don't think that I make enough anyway Should've tried a little harder in the first place Watched my fears go down the tube Have a little mid-life, just like you I can't wake cos my brain won't start I can't sleep because my brain won't start But I get up anway, have another day Move a little closer from the cradle to the grave I feel down and I don't wanna be down Got a little bit of lost and found Lost my money and I lost my soul Got a little closer but I don't wanna be old I can't breathe and I can't go too long Without doing something, everybody's done wrong Need a little bit more time and space Need a little time without seeing your face I know I've done wrong I'll change it in a little bit I try to help you, but I don't see the benefit In going round in circles day by day Move a little closer from the cradle to the grave Listen here: http://www.aidy.com/MP3s/Song%20A%20...To%20Grave.mp3 |

Yeay! I hope it will be criminal!
Congrats, again, Aidy. That was fun to see some of the pictures from your performances and many songs. Gimpie or whoever he is freaks me out.

How lovely to hear that the bits and pieces of the collab are coming together! I'm very curious what you'll do with all of them as you play around with the tracks. I saw the list of all your upcoming concerts. If only Cambridge weren't so far away! That would be fun to leave Iowa for a little concert-going. Maybe I should get the ol' Learjet out of the garage... I might as well blow some of my drug money on fuel to fly to Europe.

GOD'S FRONT PORCH
I'm the lonliest man in the world right now Maybe I'm not, maybe I'm just down For the next three days I'll call this home Watching all the ground beneath us fall Life with you never felt like this Never been one for the simple things Standing on the corner of God's front porch Watching all the ground beneath us fall Lonliness and solitude Seldom get the two confused Quit your job and walk away Didn't like it that much anyway Sell your house and start again Burn your past and make new friends You can check out anytime you want Already been a tad too long If I tried and if I missed Would you leave me alone like this For all the things I've ever done Would you let my life go on I'm the lonliest man in the world right now Maybe I'm not, maybe I'm just down Listen www.AIDY.com ------------------ The Horns, Watford - 4th July 2011 The Langtry, Norwich – 5th July 2011 Milo, Leeds - 6th July 2011 The Cavern, Liverpool – 7th July 2011 The Royal George, Charing Cross, London – 8th July 2011 The Ambassador Hotel, Brighton – 9th July 2011 The Cornerhouse, Cambridge – 10th July 2011 Week long UK acoustic tour kicking off in Watford and finishing back in Cambridge, featuring the excellent Paul Richards on percussion and Dave Martin on Bass. |

Hey, I've been away for a long time, not sure if anyone on here remembers me but basically I've been locked away writing and recording and starting a new band. Here's the first finished song I've done in a long time :-)
ANIMAL -------- I’ve got my head screwed on But when I come undone I don’t need anyone Till the feeling’s gone All I need, is a little piece of sanctuary I need a little space and time To be alone in my own mind I’m Just an animal I’m just a silhouette Behind your talking head I need to be alone In my own sweet home All I need, is a little bit of sympathy A little place to call my own Where I don’t have to hear you moan All I know, is everything you’ve ever known Though I could never tell you that You know it’s just a simple fact I’m just an animal Download it here: www.theBritishIBM.com |

the British IBM
Standing in an alley way Between two bars, blood on my face You’re looking at me and I’m looking at you Remember when we were both still friends None of this would of happened then But everything I learnt, I learnt from you If we’d of kept it all together Maybe we’d still be friends If we’d of finished what we started We’d be the British IBM Could’ve been another way Left your dreams for another day But I could never be the one, to talk you down I saw it all on a TV screen Under a ton and you flicker green But I could never be the one, to watch you fall If we’d of kept it all together Maybe we’d still be friends If we’d of finished what we started We’d be the British IBM And now we’re both in the history books A little world that we both once shook Never understood, what’s a heaven for? Knew you then as I know you now Watched it all come crashing down Watch a little time, as time goes by |
