That line was actually an idea I'd attempted to incorporate into a couple lyrics before with 0 success, but I think this time it turned out very well. The "angst-filled" feeling of these is completely intentional.

And from the most recent song posted:

This bit was pretty strong, but I mostly just really liked the "I tire, I tire" at the end of that...verse, I presume?
Yeah I like that, too. I think I like it more than anything else in this song. And yes, it is a verse.

Why waste your time mocking something I said months ago? You're only making yourself look ridiculous, my friend.

ALL I EVER WANTED

Embedded deep in my cerebrum
Is this feeling that I'm
Indebted to my imagination
No feeling when I'm
Questioning my own existence
No healing and I'm
Abandoning all resistance

I've found something, the polar opposite of nirvana
Here I've found nothing, and that is exactly what I wanted

Hell is right there and I'm
Falling into it's arms of fire
It hurts so bad, but I'm
Sort of enjoying my own pyre

I've found something, the polar opposite of nirvana
Here I've found nothing, and that is exactly what I wanted

I don't know, haven't a clue, what I've got to do
To stop this feeling that I've been split in two
What the **** do I need to do
To lose myself and start anew?
What do I
What do I need to do?

Embedded deep in my cerebrum
Is this feeling that I'm
Indebted to my imagination
No feeling when I'm
Questioning my own existance
No healing and I'm
Abandoning all resistance

I've found something and it ain't what I expected
I've found my head, but my body still rejects it
'Cause self-appreciation isn't what I wanted
All I ever wanted is to bury myself inside my soul
All I ever wanted is to meet the reaper, pay his toll
All I ever wanted is to dig a six foot hole

I've found something, the polar opposite of nirvana
Here I've found nothing, and that is exactly what I wanted

I want this to go farther, but I've absolutely no clue where to go with it.

JUST LEAVE ME

I need these drugs just to survive
These pills, they’re keeping me alive
Just leave me with my addictions

I take this bottle and I hide
One shot, two puts me back in line
Just leave me with my afflictions

Raindrops like shotgun shells
Pain stops, but I’m still in hell
Walk with death, I might as well
Lightning strikes and casts a spell

I still need another verse and maybe a bridge...

DEATHTRAP APPARITIONS

I’d hate very much to be ablaze in their hell
But loathe more an eternity in heaven
Avoidance of rational thought is deadly
Mass suicide in the name of seven, seven, seven

It doesn’t seem right that I’m looked down upon
For the acceptance of my observations
As they deny everything before their eyes
And glorify these deathtrap apparitions

I’m looking for any reason
To take the faithful seriously
Looking for some sort of treason
To explain how exactly I'm wrong
