First, of course, the music, playing, and singing are excellent. I'm very impressed you could whip this out so quickly, too, plus the video. I like the melody! I like the angelic strum of the guitar when you revert from psycho kitty (representing nastiness of a trolling internet person) to the all's peachy "we're friends" again chorus. Second, the subject matter is *very* amusing. This time I think you *are* actually dealing with a semi-serious topic, Thrustin: interpersonal relationships (on the internet). Some may say internet friendships are trivial...but those may be the people who haven't actually made real friends through the internet. I like how you play in this song with the listeners by making them wonder about the identify of the singer. You play with expectations, defying them, which works well in me at least to make the song funny. In this song, you are the disturbed/psychotic Internet forum member (aka troll) who is banned and acts all sweet and nice until he gets back in and once more (sigh) lashes out at his fellow members. Your song is a good psychological study of people! I loved the instrumental part of the song when you flash on the screen the avatars of various members you've known and your thoughts about them as you categorize them into "friend" or "not friend." My only suggestion would be to make the pictures go by more slowly, because I was trying to read all the words and some went too fast for me...but they were all very funny...very similar to what I think about various members I know! Ha ha! And then...awww...you threw in your favorite friend, "Mrs. Thrustin." That was very sweet. I will definitely watch this video again, Thrustin. I give your song three thumbs up! Great song, great video. You are one kooky fellow and I like it. And I like *you* because I like your songs. Does that make me shallow? Please please please include me in any future versions of this movie as a "friend!" I would be very flattered. About the "one thread per member" rule: it still looks like your older threads haven't been merged with this one, which I think would help inspire newcomers to look at and enjoy your work, as I do. I recommend you contact the moderator "Tore" to ask him to please merge all your threads together, if the previous moderator I mentioned hasn't been able to do so. Tore has always been very friendly to me. I like him. I trust him. I think he will help you get the threads merged. Oh, and for the record, I agree with you: you are songwriting! Thanks for all the effort you put into this song and video and thank you for sharing your work, Thrustin. I'm still smiling over it. EDIT: I agree with Freebase, too. Thanks, FD, for mentioning the unwritten policy. You B Da Man. (I know...that sounds weird coming from me.)

Holy crap! That's a pretty extensive review. Thanks for all the kind words.
I am the troll BTW. I'm a gentle troll, though. It's mostly just satire, but I get categorized as a troll. I wear that badge proudly. I have chosen a specific group of people on the internet to be my muse, and it's helpful when they are riled up. Anybody know a good lyricist? |

Inspiration comes from many sources. I was surprised to find that I obtain inspiration by interacting with people who are categorized as "trolls." I get inspired a lot at this site!
