Hey Thrustin,
Your "Devil" song sounds technically perfect, I'd say. Again, because the instrumentals sound so traditional (that is, the music doesn't sound quirky--it sounds serious) I wouldn't know it is humorous unless I listened closely to the lyrics! Thrustin, I recommend you ask a moderator, such as Urban Hatemonger, to merge your songwriting threads into one, the Thrustin Collection, because the rules at the top of the songwriting section say: Quote:
So, since I replied, does this mean I am pleasuring the Devil now? I don't know...it just doesn't seem as if selling one's soul to the Devil provides much of a benefit to the person. I thought people sell their soul to the Devil so that they get something in return...but I don't think what happens in your song is what they have in mind! Maybe they are lured in with false promises, and then that's all they receive from the diabolical trixter? Hmm....things to ponder.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll PM a mod.
And yes, my music is traditional and well performed, at least that's what I aim for. Juxtaposed against the music, I hope that the lyrics seem even more ridiculous. It's like with Peter Tosh... His music sounds happy, but the lyrics are anything but. |
