Pretty much all the lyrics from the Saliva song they play on the radio 24/7. That song makes me soooo mad. Its just so cocky and pointless. I never listen to radio anymore. What few good songs are there get overplayed to the point of annoyance and every other song is just rank. Anyway, yeah, that Saliva song... The one I don't know the title to.

The beginning verses are really good. I like those alot. As it progresses on, I feel like it breaks down abit. From after the second verse I would say. Overall though, really good IMO. Do you still write or did you only write for class?

I still write, but as it stands, this was posted in hopes to get people to keep submiting, its been mentioned to me that my comments and therefore writing philosophy is not very good. I got a PM on that one. I never submit works.

Where do you live that they still play Saliva, they never play it on any stations here as far as I know. Whereever you live must be horrid desolate area for music.

Black Box - Ride On Time

Ooh, doin' the ride on
Uhh, uhh, doin' the ride on
Put a hump in your back
Shake your sacroiliac
And ride on
Let's take a ride
Ride on
Baby do the ride on
Mama do the ride on
Ride on
(x2)
Doin' the ride on
Ooh, oww doin' the ride on
Ride on
Baby do the ride on
Mama do the ride on
Ride on
(x2)
It ain't what you know, it's what you feel
Don't worry about being right, just be for real
We're gonna do it to the max, when we do it
We're gonna do it, do it good, when we do it
Put a hump in your back
Shake your sacroiliac
And ride on
Let's take a ride
Ride on
Baby do the ride on
Mama do the ride on

Well, just my opinion, but they are very generic "hard" rock with horrid lyrics. Oh and Urban, what you posted was probably more terrible than any Saliva song.

Good songwriting dosent aways have to require really good lyics...Some bands focus more on the rhythm and melody...Just listen to some old 50s Rock N Roll, great tunes, some awfuly silly(sometimes downright apalling)lyrics, just look at some of the lyrics to jailhouse rock.

"Number forty-seven said to number three:
"You're the cutest jailbird I ever did see.
I sure would be delighted with your company,
come on and do the Jailhouse Rock with me."
Let's rock, everybody, let's rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock.

The sad sack was a sittin' on a block of stone
way over in the corner weepin' all alone.
The warden said, "Hey, buddy, don't you be no square.
If you can't find a partner use a wooden chair."
Let's rock, everybody, let's rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock."

Ah, a great song about man to man prison sex.
