Bad Lyrics
This forum is mostly songs but how about a thread on other peopls lyrics. Are there any lyrics that just irk you in a song, that don't belong or sound right, that piss you off every time you hear them?
Ill start and say in that new Ryan Adams song "Hardest Part" when he says "or buy a baby doll for my girl." Mostly because he's trying to sound all poor down home boy when we all know he's a money whoring Gap-ad-ing **** who changes his opinion to be hip and trendy. That and the damn thing got taken out of the melody giving extra emphasis to a crap, trying-to-hard line.

I got a ride home from school today, and "How We Do" was on the radio. I hadn't listened to it in a long time (probably since the last day of school) so I was like, hey a little Game can't hurt. It was boring. I mean straight booring. And 50 cent's last verse was sh!t, it was edited so much things don't even rhyme. Come on. That was my "bad lyric" for today.

Sub Forum
Would anyone else be interested in a sub forum to the effect of the "song of the week forum" except maybe in this sub forum we would go over what we liked/disliked about the lyrics of a particular song.
I've spoken to alot of people who reference songs when writing their own, if we could have a forum to disect the reason those lyrics worked, I think it might help people get to the root of what they aren't understanding. Anyone?

It's a good idea Big3, it would also help people understand the finer points by hearing other peoples views on a particular passage.

Instead of a subforum...would a mod stickying it work to the same effect?
i.e. stick it (so it's at the top of the page on this forum) for a week. Then unsticky it and sticky the new one the next week, etc.
