That the vocals sound really echoey and whatnot. Maybe that's what you were aiming for because you are making electronica-disco-postpunk (in your description) but it just sounds off compared to the music.

What's your myspace then?

Here is something I've been toying with....
I've been working on my novella so it's been a while since I wrote any lyrics.
This isn't meant to be clever or anything, it's just a simple little pop song with an lcd soundsystem like groove.

Oh Cleopatra
Lay down for me
Oh Cleopatra
Won't you lay down for me?

Oh, I love your eyes
What a surprise
Cleopatra, if you care
Don't be a heart break for me

Cleopatra won't you do this for me
Play their game, never going to set you free
I never want to let you down
If I do, I'll never come back around

It's not really done and I'm kind of stuck as to where to go with it...
Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

Whether you're actually writing a song about Cleopatra or she's a metaphor you could probably do some research on her - read a book about her or something and you might find some inspiration or direction.

Thanks man, that's good advice. I've done a bit but I should probably do more. My main problem is that this is not my usual process so it's taking some time for me to find my feet on it.
