Great. Now I have something in common with Folkie.

BD is one of my favorite vocalists ever.
And if my thought-dreams could be seen/they'd probably put my head in a guillotine/but it's alright ma/it's life and life only-Bobby D

i dont get it (probably a generational thing)
hes a great lyricist
not a great songwriter
you gotta write more than a few acoustic chords and some trad blues to qualify as a great songwriter for me.

FireInCairo 09-03-2008 05:50 AM

plus the dude doesnt sing he mumbles...

Wifey Boozer 09-03-2008 07:49 AM

^ On the contrary, I never misunderstand what Bob's saying in his songs. It's not mumbling, that's just his regular, shaky voice. I dig it.

He's done much more than that, I'm not sure where people get this argument...

FireInCairo 09-04-2008 01:44 AM

cause thats all singersongwriters ever seem to do...
and hes the archetype
i dotn know enough of his discography to argue
but from what ive heard
overrated to the max

Wifey Boozer 09-04-2008 06:36 AM

Do the homework before you hand-in the paper ;)

FireInCairo 09-04-2008 06:40 AM
