stood still on a highway, i couldnt hear a sound.
i was standing on a byway 10 feet above the ground.
i said are you going my way as she wound here window down.
she said i,m going down that sliproad to where i can't be found.

stood still on a mountain i couldnt believe my eyes.
there were a hundred million stars shinning in the skies.
all i could feel was the wind blowing through my hair.
i,d been travelling for days on this road to nowhere.
