As I search my mind for a reason why
Why my heart is feeling so old
Like the very man I was
Has crumbled and turned into dust

The mud that covered up our love

Cupid's wings were burned
And not a saving grace will catch him

Demon with those angel wings
Hatred does your arrows bring

But we fought like beasts

Well I guess our challenges were too much
Cupid somehow got out of touch
And what we had is out of reach
