Not looking for respect. Just looking for my own sense of self fulfillment.
I know you said don't, but this is probably my best song I've written to date, and I intend to top it. Excuse the fact it's a MIDI. Sounds better on Guitar Pro with the RSE on and when it's mixed properly. Plus, the ending isn't supposed to sound like it is on here; this is an old version that my friend still had when I lost everything on my computer. I forgot to send him what I had apparently.

Working at odd jobs here and there. I personally am not looking for a career, in music or anywhere. If I end up playing at bars the rest of my life while holding a job at some grocery store or whatever, I couldn't be happier.
It's better this way than hoping for some life that's superficial and void of challenge. I can live without all the luxuries in life that people think are necessities.

the music's actually alright in a game soundtrack kinda way. it's very game soundtrackish, although that could just be the sound quality.
EDIT: well, the first half is alright....

It's a MIDI file. That's why it sounds like a video game.
I'd export it to WAV, but the file would be WAY too huge. Plus, I've got to remix it so it sounds good with the RSE on.

Good job, Voice of the Soul. This is clearly something you enjoy and should continue doing, regardless of what some asshat says to you. |

and got shot down by 1/4 of the forum. Good of you to comment though, MJ. Anyway, the MIDI is pretty good, you just need to get off the star wars shiyat. Try improving your lyrics, (which usually consists of writing alot, and correcting yourself), and start writing on different subjects. You could probably do something worth all that effort, and have it pay off. |

I know this song will someday need a major overhaul, but I still would like to keep it in the same subject matter. I'm a nerd. Sue me.
Look up Anchorhead Darth Metal on myspace, and you'll see why I write about Star Wars. It can be done, and these guys are proof.
