Message on a Bored
"I am about to give up" said the champion
The only reason is I do it for the love Only reason they want me to do it Is too keep the cash in their pockets I started out loving the game But soon I felt lack of competition It became do or die to live this role So I said I am done and crawled in a whole No debates that end in arguments of belief Don’t sedate the friend your grief As I live with others now forgotten champion The one that gave up and became a thinker But see I said "when I am in the game I felt no pain" No one was there I couldn’t see their stare Money hungry vampires seeking their meal But I close them out remember I don’t feel Now listen to the forgotten champion Find your way just trust in you The time will come when you will stand up Be who you are finding something new |

You're right, no SPELLING errors that I see, but about half of i is gramatically wrong. now on to the actual song....
the entire thing is a metaphor, but you never give the reader any inclination about what the metaphor is DESCRIBING. what game is it that the narrator is in? there's no indication whatsoever about what the song is about, for all we know is could be some kid who'd gotten tired of playing soccer. Not a very interesting subject.

yes, people don't understand because you don't know how to get your point across in an effective manner.
and once again, I said your SPELLING was right, your GRAMMAR wasn't. spellcheck doesn't check for grammatical errors. just because, i've taken the liberty to put all your GRAMMATICAL errors in bold. I'll ignore the title, because i'm assuming it's a play on words, and you MEANT to write bored, even though BOARD would be more appropriate, as a board is a surface on which it would be possible to write, and bored is an emotion that arises from lack of activity. well, you said it was about religion, I can see that. It also made me think about parents, and the unfortunate situation where a lot of parents want their kids to look good, and seem adjusted and professional and competitive, sometimes at the expense of their own child's happiness. For instance, some parents get their young daughter into ice skating at a very young age, 4. She excels at it, and has won a lot of tournaments and stuff, and you might look at her one day, standing up on a platform, accepting her trophy. You see the parents there, and the trophy means nothing to the little girl, but the parents' trophy is the little kid, that they are so proud of, because of how successful she appears to be to the outer world.
Then, in reading the last paragraph, I thought about how at some point in time, we do have to break free from our parents, and forge our own identity, no matter how little your parents understand it, you must be who you are. |
