Mother Mary watch her die

More delusional abstractness from me. It's a bit more sane than usual because I wrote it when I was only out of it enough that just the weird music that my mind makes up was running in my head, none of the other weird ass delusions that my bad habits give me.

Mother Mary watch her die
Mother Mary watch her cry
Mother Mary watch her color fade
Mother Mary guess who you betrayed?
Your only child is lost
Your religion at her life’s cost
A blonde little girls prays
Will god come and save the day?
No

Is it fair?
Can you hear her plea?
Is it fair?
Why can’t you see?
Is it fair?

The girl turns to Jesus
Jesus turns to God
God turns to Mother Mary
Who has turned her head to all

Is it fair?
Can you hear her plea?
Is it fair?
Why can’t you see?
Is it fair?

When hope leaves the girl
The girl leaves the world
The world leaves Mary
Standing all alone

Is it fair?
Can you hear her plea?
Is it fair?
Why can’t you see?
Is it fair?

The words “I love you”
Escape the cracked lips of Mary
The words are caught by the wind
Ready to be sent
Into the next victim’s heart

Is it fair?
Can you hear her plea?
Is it fair?
Why can’t you see?
Is it fair?

100 souls dammed to hell
100 people’s early farewells
100 souls, enslaved
1 place in heaven, saved

Eh.. I don't like it. My reasons are mundane, it simply wasn't interesting to me. I feel like... you don't really have a message? If you did I don't get it unless it's... hey look I have an opinion on religion gimme a cookie :P. I just wasn't pulled it - I'm not saying it's bad though... just not for me.

Its way too repetitious, it makes the piece boring to read.

There is a point, but it got lost in my effort to keep the flow.
Basically the "virgin" Mary caught syphilis and a baby from the guy she slept with, damning her to hell. So, she traded her daughters and 99 other people's souls in to Satan so that she could go to heaven.

I knew it lacked significance, but my friend is using it for his punk band so I decided to post it.

It's a song.
Not a poem, unlike most "lyrics" that get posted.
The repetition is the chorus and a rhetorical device.

I wasn't talking about the chorus I was talking about the vocabulary, it makes it boring and repetitive to read. However since its going to be a song it can be gotten away with.

the first version had a more elaborate vocabulary containing words like pretentious, sycophant, quid pro quo, dudgeon, truculent, ect., but when it was put to song it sounded so abhorant w/ the complex words that they had to be taken out or replaced. I understand what you are saying though.

I don't think teenagers want to listen to songs that have complex words in them. My friends and I talk on how annoying and stupid it is haveing those words in it, especially when you don't know the meaning.

I think it is just a case-by-case issue, usually depending on nature of the song or genre of the band.
As I learned today, when I was talking to my physics teacher about the logistics concerning the recent experiment where NASA officials witnessed dark matter separating from matter and what the recently built particle accelerator will tell us, many people get annoyed when they lack the knowledge to include themselves in or even comprehend any conversation.

True but especially when listening to music no one wants to listen to it wondering what are they talking about, all they want is something they can relate to and understand and have the same emotions. Songs lose they're greatness because i'm to busy looking through the dictionary trying to figure a word out.

Not all of us want to listen to songs about cutting and how we hate our parents. And just because someones dumb and can't understand a word larger then depression doesn't mean were all that way.
