Default Is blood thicker?

i know its cliche and over emotional, but it was written on an emotional subject.

The lights they shine outside / yet it’s in the dark we hide.
the beacons lit for sake of hope / were burnt out lonng ago
Yes the dark is our reprieve /as we struggle through the sinews of a mind besieged by ignorance / a maladaptive will to sin / a will devoid of discipline / a will deprived of pride

Well I’m sure, your nights, feel longer
And I know, those thoughts, still linger
But this rage inside, grows stronger
And to you I say is blood really thicker?

I understand your plight / yet I fail to sympathize / when there’s no hint of fight / no tug of war / the rope is worn and slack.
They say forgiveness is a strength / yet I’m unforgivably weak / yes you’re a victim of the circumstance / tricked into the devils dance / bludgeoned by a darkened past /
Yet pity’s something I can’t hide

Well I’m sure, your nights, feel longer
And I know, those thoughts, still linger
But this rage inside, grows stronger
And to you I say is blood really thicker?

This song is about your father, leaving your mother perhaps? or the family?

i can relate.

i thought the chorus was pretty good. I can write anything for ****, even a 3 paragraph paper...so this was amazing for me.

I like it, the lyrics were quite good.
The only thing I would say needed some attention was the replacement of backslashes for phrases.
