I hate rap with a passion that threatens to consume my soul in a ball of hellfire. I only came into this thread out of sheer boredom. But after reading the raps, I feel like I have a disclaimer to make... in my opinion, rap is an "artform" that should be cut out of the brains of every person at birth through miracle surgery, it is the very fact that rap exists that has allowed the cynic in me to thrive.
That being said: While Snickers is far more creative from what I've seen here, rap is not the place for you and I think you should be glad that it isn't. Oojay wins, imo. *but why isn't this settled already? Snickers has more votes?* PS. Snickers, do something worthwhile with the talent you have. You are too intelligent for this. (I'm not saying other people aren't just as intelligent, but this one's for Snickers.) |

It seems like you hate rap more than any other I have ever spoken to.
Thank you, even though I enjoy rap, I also respect your opinion.

I somewhat agree, Snickers is an excellent songwriter but rap is not his fort`e. It just takes a completely different style of thought to compose a rap, especially a battle rap, than it does to compose a song or a poem. And also note that it is much easier to write a response to someone else's rap than it is to write the first one.

I don't agree, but I also do not label myself a rapper, so, to each is own, that very well may be true. When is Ethan going to end this thing? Ever?

I like Snicker's much more, because Oojay's has a fair amount of lame, formulaic filler (in terms of his overall ideas rather than wording). Personally, I think battle raps are better when they are loaded with true personal insults specific to the person you're battling, not random crap about, for example, having sex with their girlfriend/mother*. Unless you've actually had sex with the person's girlfriend or mother how is that taunting them? How can you taunt somebody with your own personal fantasies? I'd say that when a rapper brings this subject up it shows that they want to have sex with the other person's girlfriend/mother and the fact that they haven't makes them a failure.
Oojay's rap isn't pure cliche by any means, but there's many more recycled ideas in there than in Snicker's and cliche turns me off big time. *This is one of the typical way over-used structures in battle raps and it pretty much demonstrates how the rapper is a sheep in wolves clothing.
