Not a lyric, just a announcement-come-promise...
Finally the lead and attachment I ordered on ebay have arrived (it would have been quicker and easier just to go to a shop in the city centre and buy the stuff, but never mind) so, provided no other small catastrophes occur, I should be recording a few new songs sometime this week. I plan on recording these as one-take no cuts affairs again with improvised harmonies again so don't expect any increase in the quality of recordings.
I'll be putting these up on my band website at www.myspace.com/jodileeparker, so if you want to hear it go and check there. Once again, I'm saying this to make me do it. If I don't do it, just remind me that I said I would and that is all the kicking I need. Next week I'll also have a go at recording 'She Smiled For All of Us', which Crowe wrote ages ago, I wrote music for but couldn't record it down. I'll put that one on a different site though, because there's too many lyrics for it to work in our band style. Can't do that this week as I have to prioritise!!! |

Well, after much arsing around with my music program I managed to get it working and recorded "He Never Thought To Ask". There's a bunch of strange mic noises and responses during the verse (I was too close and, well, did it all in one take again because it was nearly 12 by the time I got it to work... which is why I am actually whispering for most of it, to not wake the neighbours...)
I put it up on the band site www.myspace.com/jodileeparker to encourage the others in my band to learn it and for you to enjoy it. I'll get onto "Its Not Much of a Place" next, and then "She Smiled For All of Us" - which is pretty if nothing else. |
