This time, you can’t escape your past
Four walls barricade you
Outside, the people move to fast
Condemned, no one can save you

The numb fades and the pain comes creeping back
So you pour another drink
Unaware your whole worlds gone off track
Days pass and it still hurts to think.

Existence becoming more unclear
Blank stares get blank reflections
You’re somewhere else, you’re not here
Given up and lost perception

Can’t choose the cards your life’s been dealt
Can’t stand reliving all you’ve felt
Can’t fight with the voices in your head
Can’t stop your eyes from seeing red
Can’t survive another crippling fall
Can’t go on screaming at the walls
Can’t hold back your inner demons roar
Can’t live like this anymore
