I bought another sweater
With the holes in the sleeves
If you’re looking funny now

Because all the girls think

Without a hat

Before I met you
Dead leaves were wet
Everything was colorful
And the devil lost his bet

But now all the girls
Can ever think about or do
With their daisy duke eyelashes

To do the same

School let out too long ago
Let the tether be
You don’t know how it feels
All it ever wanted was to feel free

So next time you pass
I’ll just give an empty stare
