This one is far from complete...I need to compress it and organize it, and may be write a few more stanzas where needed. I'd appreciate just the lines you liked and the lines you didn't.


When I was ten years old
I was playing basketball
And this little girl
She changed my world

I'm your sister
Cant you tell?
My name's Cara
Does it ring a bell?

But holy **** it did
She's in this book I'm in
Astronaughts meeting aliens
But where have you been?

With our mom in San Jose
What am I supposed to say?
She expects me to leave today?
Sorry mom, a little late

And then my life became
This Tug o' war game
pulled four different ways
As my family's strength fades

I start to realize
my family life
my family ties
have turned out old and dry

And I try to find
A reason why
For heated fights
from petty lies

I remember lonely nights
and tail lights
heading away from me
Its easier to leave

I think about my empty room
And the times I moved
Telling me I have to choose
No matter what, I lose

How was I supposed to know?
Theres no place to go
Neither one is whole
Neither one is home

I guess its a hole in me
Having to choose between
Those in my family
I'd rather bleed bleed please
