Memories Lost

There used to be mice underneath the floorboards
Their cries echoed louder and louder
But the house crumbles to the ground
No screams for help, there's not a sound
Such an old house lost and forgotten
The furniture and walls where rotten
Bricks of memories remain lost
In the cloud of smoke there's a ghost
Just another face with a forgotten voice.

Yeah when we were young we had fun
Playing games in the old-fashioned room
But times have changed beyond meaning
We've gone our seperate ways
Confidence is a thing of the past
Today we've come to have fear
But still we haven't realized that
Time has moved on from the
Mice scratching underneath the floorboards
Yeah the past has moved on
And years from long ago have gone.
