Default Unappreciated man hymn

Passing through the subway with my broken guitar
Coffee in my hand looking for a place to hibernate
maybe tomorrow will bring fame and fortune
but I take it all with a handful of luck
Misfortune guides me but it doesn't bring me down
Only when I see a light and I cannot reach it
Dirty men and women are towering shoulders above me
Yet I cower to an invisible force that shatters me
And pray to another invisible force that completes me
Melted down men stare at me from their bunks on the floor
Seeing something in me that I know I should hide
Maybe when the day comes I will fix the guitar and thus my world
but until that day comes I will stare at the ground
And think of those who died to sustain my void
