Tale from the estate #1
Three kids hoods up in the sun/
looking for trouble, looking for fun/ On the streets terrorising homes/ they film it all on their mobile phones/ They buy a few cans in the off license/ using a fake drivers license/ they get drunk and end up on the roadside/ giving dirty looks to passers by... Now isn't it funny? Isn't it strange/ that these kids are allowed to own these lanes/ you want to stop em? Wouldn't you just/ If you dare to touch em then you'll get bust/ I've seen em talking-they know, you know/ that they can do all this and you have to let it go/ they need a good slap to sort em out/ Next thing you know cops are round your house/ Putting you in a cell for GBH/ Now isn't it funny? Isn't it strange/ That these kids are allowed to own these lanes/ You want to slap em? Wouldn't you just/ If you dare to touch em then you'll get bust/ They think it's funny, they think they're hard/ buying loads of sh*t with your credit card/ they think they're untouchable/ they think they're correct/ next thing you know you're 20 grand in debt/ Now isn't it funny? Isn't it strange/ that these kids are allowed to own these lanes/ You want to slap em? Wouldn't you just/ If you dare to touch em then you'll get bust/ Sort them out love. they're your kids tell them off for the stupid sh*t that they did/ cos right now they don't know the right from the wrong/ in 10 years they'll be downtown all hooked to a bong/ They got the bad gene-they got it from their Dad/ They follow in his footsteps-a real Jack the lad/ but he's left now and they take their anger out on you/ but you can't let it happen-look what they're putting you through/ you've hit em, you've beat em, now what do you do?/ Well I tell you love, they learn it all.... from you. This is going to be a series of songs hopefully, all based around my time living in an estate. I know that some people who have or still do live in an estate will be able to connect with these songs. |
