Hydrophobia

This is a split piece with my friend Chris. we alternated stanza's mine being first, then his, then mine, etc.

Whats interesting is that we alternated moods as well. Mine was more of the fell and save yourself, while his was the die bitch die. Odd since he's the one with the girlfriend of 9 months and I'm the one who is currently fighting with an ex... anyway, for your enjoyment

Hydrophobia - #522 - 12.4.05 [with Chris Michaud]

There is no moving me
What I am is what you see
Tying that around my waist is not an end
But merely my own form of revenge

Like stone I'll wait for years
For some poor soul to shed her tears
My love, to throw away into the ocean
Is merely you and I if we pretend

An anchor has replaced my legs
And I fear that to chase the dregs
Will only result in your death as well
So onward to my watery grave and further hell

Oh, a siren's song will call you back
An emotion that once you'd lacked
Ripped apart by jealous derision
At once regretting your poor decisions

But take heart my dear and soon flee
For I fear that my own demons will claim thee
It dims down in the depths of fate
Whether it be vice or something else we create

But never once did love's rain shower
From your eyes I caught naught but glower
And as I roll beneath these murky tides
Your love at once returns and divides

Quick my love, and make haste
Precious time cannot be made to waste
Black as rain and heavy as emotion
Lies the dread motion of this dread ocean
