Poetry
Instead of songs I write poetry, feel free to comment. And if others want to post poetry in here, do. I'm sure these poems could be turned into songs?
Skin Deep Light shimmers against your face, It twists, bends and reflects, Enhancing your crystal green eyes, And a never-ending smile. I hold onto this moment and gaze, No words spoken, just touch. Every crest, every line, every curve, A slow and gentle understanding. Hours pass with pleasent ease, The lake in which we swim, chills. The heat between us is fire, It burns so bright. You're my second skin. I wrote that instead of doing Statistics work! Should I of bothered? God’s Little Angels As every snowflake falls A tear drops for you, sister Every smiling child now weeps Over lies they thought were true Blood red petals lay on their bodies Valleys of their shadows wander Reunited through heaven in the end Memories of laughter and wonder But grief gouges inside me The sun scolds my temper It burns within so quietly Apart of me wants to turn black Those eyes have lost their innocence Stripped away, stolen Mommies and daddies are in mourning Our hearts are no longer golden The roses of life have wilted The scent of magic is a whisper Guide me O Lord I’m breaking down I love her, I lost her, I miss her… Bring Out My Soul Breathe on me... Tint my skin with a moment It tingles through my veins Like a breeze of sparkled silver Chase me through the long grass Rain touched, it glistens Contagious this feeling Yet no-one is here but us The sky's high on smoke Desperate for a new life It's chronic depression Crys throughout the night Shine down like the stars Enlighten me deep inside The blackness is hiding away With the flower that quietly wilts The blanket over our eyes It blinds green with black Glowing with uncertainty We innocently interact And lastly: SS
My body feels as warm as ice I drink it anyway, from a dead thirst A drive to cloud up the everclear road A path of tangles and burns Yet a sunlight of dancing and quiet dreams Kisses my soul incomplete A heart of a red rose does touch me Whispers of a shadow nearing She is a beautiful ocean jewel Crashes onto the world like silk To even look at the magical girl Is a heaven portrait untamed I respect such a talent formed I pray for her future to be glamour Golden gifts of credit Will push a new beginning The thorns of blood engraved Blow away in a gale of green She leans down to my level Unexpected to be seen Those who know her love her Like she is never comming home But this angel's wings are strongly cemented I now never feel cold Keep your moonlight glow alive You'll never be underestimated Bound to be a star shining Cleverly, here you are

These were good. Reading 4 atmospherically vague poems in a row has slightly dazed me. These could definitely be turned into songs, as they have a good rhythm to them and nice phrasing. I'll not try it myself though, as it'd work much better sung by a girl with a very soft voice...
Don't forget to do your statistics work though! |
