Queen is one of my favorite rock band since I was in high school. My friend (he was older than me, he was in college at the time) introduced me to Queen and became my favorite since then. Now I heard ranged variety of music, but Queen is always in my mp3list.

Anyway, I just listened to 'Queen II' for the first time, and have regained some faith in this band. It's really a gorgeous album.

Explores the operatic ballad type sound that they really were masters without the cheesy 70s radio rock bull****.

Alot of the time lately I've been listening to queen on my mates LPs. There's nothing better than the sound of music coming from a record player. Esp, some of my all time favourite songs.

I have all but the last 2. I couldn't handle the idea of Made In Heaven. It killed me. That was one hell of a day. November 24, 1991. Freddie Mercury and Eric Carr died.

I don't know where you hear such inaccurate information, but that is certainly false. Legend has it, Freddie had a piano built in to the headboard on his bed. Freddie was double jointed so was able to bend his hands in all manners of ways and one night had a particular melody in his head. He played this in bed and suddenly thought he was on to something and progressed with painting this beautiful musical landscape in the studio. The rest, they say, is history.

No he did not sing Opera before joining the band. Freddie was in several bands before Queen, more notably a band called Ibex. Do you just make this stuff up?

Queen did NOT essentially start power metal. What makes you think this? What do you base this judgment on?
