I used to like Free a lot, not just 'All Right Now' and Bad Company had some good songs if I remember although it's been a while.

He has an excellent voice.
But not for Queen. Don't get me wrong, I love his voice like you, but wtf were they thinking.

I didn't dismiss him. I asked who he was.

If you mean I dismissed him by saying that a band with May, Taylor and Rodgers oughtn't still be called Queen, then no, I wasn't - merely expressing that I don't think there's such thing as "Queen without Freddy Mercury".

To be fair, as you said they do call it Queen WITH Paul Rodgers, i.e. it's the remainder of Queen (Taylor and May) + Paul Rodgers, who is not Queen.

I heard one of the songs from the new album today, C-lebrity I think it was called?

It wasn't really a bad song, but it doesn't sound like Queen to me, and I'm sure I recognise that riff, it sounds quite similar to The Metal by Tenacious D. Doubt it's a rip-off, mind.

I'm not really holding much breath for this release, but after hearing that track I don't really see much problem with it.

Dunno, just not Paul Rodgers.

I thought that the version of "We Are the Champions" performed by Robbie Williams and Queen sounded pretty good.

Perhaps he could replace Paul Rodgers?

I don't think Robbie William's ego needs anymore of a boost.

Without a doubt my favorite band of all time. Never saw them live with Freddie (a shame), I did see them in 2005 with Paul Rogers... took some getting used to but overall a decent show.

I just saw Gary Mullen & the works recently and he is the closest I've ever heard a person get to Freddie. Google his name if you wanna hear samples of his stuff... I would post the link but I haven't made 15 posts yet.
