I don't mind if People Get Ready wasn't written by Jeff Beck. He's a guitar player, and I really like his guitar playing on the song. He never wastes a note.

Songwriting and guitar playing are apple to oranges comparison. Jeff Beck can play more emotionally than EC and Page imho. EC wrote some decent songs but he jump the shark with "Cocaine" -- literally/figuratively. Page came up with a lot of (other people's) ideas.
I don't think it's like comparing apples to oranges, but anyway.
Thanks for posting the music video, Rod Stewart looks so good, I didn't even know that video existed! That's cause I listen to music mainly by Spotify or records.
