I think "How The West Was Won" sounds at times like a chopped up live record that was simply put together. As much as I love the band, I still think the definitive hard rock live record of the 70's to be Deep Purple`s Made in Japan.

Oh, I dig the hell out of Physical Graffiti... It's a nice transition between early and late sounds that doesn't get too caught up in the baroque-folk or the keyboard sounds and manages to deliver some lovely corrosive guitar and drum bombast all the while... Not as much juicy bass work as on the earlier records, which I miss
