John Bonham was probably the perfect fit for the music of Led Zeppelin but I can think of several drummers that I'd put above him in the grand scheme of rock drummers.

Ginger Baker, Bill Bruford, Terry Bozzio, Vinnie Colaiuta, (just to name four off the top of my head.)
