This will probably be hard for you to understand but that is a really a confession that you don't really love Zeppelin either.

Deep Purple was #22.
Iron Maiden was #24.
Rainbow was #90.

The music really is all that matters to me. What do I care if a band has 100 or 100 million fans, has a 747 or not or whether they topped whatever lists at some point in time. So if the "greatest" doesn't mean "makes good music" then whatever, they're totally super great. That's cool, but why should I be impressed by that? Nickelback also makes a lot of money. So does Bruno Mars. And Maroon 5.

If Maroon 5 grows to be even bigger than Zep (imagined scenario, stay with me), influences thousands of other bands and own 3 Boeings and a cruise ship, does Zep have to hand over the "greatest band ever" trophy?

No, because they wrote the best song ever.

Wrong, Led Zeppelin did not write the song Eazy-E Got AIDS from Freddie Mercury.

If that's the best song ever, then I don't like good music.
Guess you had to be there.

What is a definition of 'good music' for you?
