Even though I've only got 4 King Crimson albums, I like them enough for KC to be in my top 10 rock bands - but I do prefer Led Zep.

No not really, Led Zeppelin are more accessible than both for me, they can rock harder but do ballads just as well, and they are nearly just as instrumentally talented, well KC and Yes are more technically skilled, but still, to listen to KC and Yes, you have to be in the mood, and i have just been in that mood for a good while, Zepplin however, i can listen to them any time i want, i don't have to be in the mood to listen to them, their music automatically takes me there.... They were one of the main bands that got me into rock music... Right now i'm just listening to different bands, but eventually i'll actually import my Zep albums onto my comp and be all over them again, like many times before, as of now, i just listen to them on a CD player, i prefer it that way, the bass is more audible and improves the listening experience for any Zep fan, as of now i mostly listen to what i have on my comp, though i really do need to import the rest of my music.

I'm not calling them progressive or anything, but it is interesting how their sound has changed from the really bluesy rock of I to the modernish sounding stuff of In Through the Out Door. Led Zep really does have a nice range of music.

Both are fairly even, in terms of me generally disliking both bands. Both have some good qualities, I enjoy some of the Beatles basslines while Led Zeppelin has that nod to blues music that made me tingle inside. In the end though both were boring bands who did not deserve the popularity they have today.
