What do you accomplish once you've determined that the apple is a better apple than the table is at being either a table or apple?

B: I accomplished being able to compare two unrelated things and possibly proving my point. I said it was outlandish, so I didn't expect this kind of exact situation to happen in better life. I'm jusrt saying it can be done, and judging two unrelated bands is easy compared to it. I guess a better scenario is getting to choose what kind of prize you get at a game show, say like The Price is Right? Based solely on the quality of the items displayed, would you rather take the $500 Honeywell air conditioner or the $900 Ginori tea set? Most people would choose their situations as a denominator, or roomspace. To some, higher price means higher quality (a misconception, although they usually go hand in hand). In the event of quality itself if you're not put in a roomspace or necessity situation such as "I need a new AC" or "I need a new tea set," what would you choose?"

Adding JGuy Grungeman's results the tally now stands at...
1) Beatles (49 points) 2) Pink Floyd (39 points) 3) Led Zeppelin (34 points) 4) Rolling Stones (30 points) 5) Jimi Hendrix (30 points) 6) Black Sabbath (24 points) 7) Doors (22 points) 8) David Bowie (19 points) 9) Bob Dylan (17 points) 10) Fleetwood Mac/Cream (16 points) I'll expand the list to the top 15 or 20 if it keeps going, cheers. |

Except for the Fleetwood Mac and Cream, that list is quite predictable. RS, Doors, Bowie, Dylan, Hendrix, Sabbath are all expected. Beatles, Pinok Floyd, and Zeppelin in that order as the top 3 is EXACTLY like "official" collaborative top bands lists I have seen all around the internet. I've literally seen them in that order so often. Sometimes Radiohead would appear in there making a top four, and I'm surprised Radiohead isn't on this list.

Yes I agree, pretty predictable, I was hoping for a little more diversity, but there are some bands that could still bounce into the list.
Your right, no votes for Radiohead yet, or the Clash or Chili Peppers. |
