You're gonna get a lot of opposition to that statement. Not from me though.
Personally, I think Nebraska followed by Born To Run and then perhaps Darkness on the Edge of Town. Mind you, The River is not without its charm, but it does kind of wear on a bit towards the middle. My least favourites would be The Ghost of Tom Joad and Devils and Dust.

Oh god no! You have to be a real Springsteen fan to even listen to that. I think I've spun it three times since I bought it. The last three tracks, okay but the rest? Even I think it sucks, and I love The Boss.

My two favorite Springsteen songs - Rosalita and Sandy - are on that album. I'm not even a big Springsteen fan, but that's the only album of his I own.
