I'd disagree with this.

There's plenty of times when I hear a song and I don't really have an opinion of it either way. After hearing it maybe 50/60 on radio/tv/whatever times I find sometimes they really grate.

So there's a perfectly valid example of me hating a song primarily because of the media.

I dont hate bands because of their media exposure idiot. I judge them by their music and if they are hyped and get exposure when I think they are ****ing ****.
