1.They were much more consistant, lasted longer than the beatles 2.They were a lot more rock while the beatles were more pop I just dont think this is enough to sway me, if there are any other reasons for them being greater, then by all means lay em out, its only my opinion of course, and i dont want this to get nasty just because of differing opinions, if you think it will then i will kindly quit debating...And who said im not giving The Stones credit?, i give them credit where its due, they have made many great albums, are a great live band, have a amazing frontman and consist of some very talented musicians, i like the Stones very much, exile on main street rules...I just dont think they had quite as much deversity or creativity as The Beatles, and didn't innovate as much, again its my opinion, im by no means stating it as a fact. |

I didn't mean to say that you should quit your career when you realise that commercial success starts decreasing. What I wanted to say is that you should stop when you realise that it's getting worse. As I said already, I love the Stones for what they were in the past, but nowadays? I don't like their latest stuff and the point is: Wasn't Rock & Roll meant for the youth? That's what it's all about - the youth. Rebellion. Rebellion of the youth. The youth is rebellion. A 62-year-old man who still tries to behave like a 20-year-old boy can't be message and sense of Rock & Roll music. I can't deny: The Stones are legendary. And world wouldn't be the same without them. But my heart belongs to the Beatles.
