It's just sort of a fact of life. The Beatles are better.
Could it be your disdain for the Rolling Stones be both futile and obvious?

What is the difference between a greater band and a better band?
Can you comprise and say that The Beatles are a greater band and the Rolling Stones are a better band?

I don't understand your "futile and obvious question" remark. If a question could be futile how does it make it automatically obvious? It is often said that there are no dumb questions just dumb answers. It is also generally known that questions that have obvious answers are generally unnecessary to ask, but how does that make a question both futile and obvious?

I said it was futile and obvious, I didn't say that it was obvious by nature of being futile. Nice try though, yeah? I know you're itching to put those first few weeks of Linguistics 101 class to good use.

And why don't you learn to use the English language properly before you make half-assed attempts at critiquing my usage. That paragraph reads like it was written by a 12 year old Korean girl.

EDIT: Nice edit Einstein.

OK you may win at prose but that my friend is futile and obvious.
