We went back there and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried. I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it. I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought: My God... the genius of that. |

The Beatles hands down. I hate it when people say all the Beatles' songs sound the same. Listen to any of their albums starting with "Help!" all the way to the end. You'll be hard pressed to find two songs on the same album that sound the same. If you look at "Abbey Road", "I Want You" follows "Octopus' Garden". Those two songs could not sound any different.
As for the Stones, eh. I like them and all, I respect them as a band and love some of their songs, but they are dragging it out way too long. The Stones should have stopped touring a long time ago. There's no mystique surrounding the Stones like there is with the Beatles. And I also believe that, while the Beatles relied mainly on talent, the Stones relied mostly on image. It's no contest as far as I'm concerned.
