Default Shocking Blue

Before Grooveshark went down, I decided to get myself fully acquainted with the lovely sounds of the Netherlands' very own Shocking Blue.

Fronted by super-beauty head fox in charge, Mariska Veres...

unfffffffffffff

Shocking Blue are best known in the states for these two hits:

"Venus"

(Later covered to much success by Bananarama.)

"Send Me A Postcard"

I also learned that the 'Blue were the trailblazers for this song, which was later covered by Nirvana:

"Love Buzz"

Two of my absolute favorite tracks on my journey ...

"Daemon Lover"

"Shocking You"

I fell in love within an afternoon. Shocking Blue were awesome; they were a must-hear for anyone who loves 60s pop/psychedelic rock.
