This thread got a raw deal. Fogerty was one of the greatest people in roc and roll. He wrote great melodies, he had social awareness but could write drug related fun songs like "out my back door"

You can say "hey man you guys are only listing the hits" well to be honest, thats cause their that damn good. Like Neil Diamond, these are well crafted songs but Fogerty knew how to give it a soul. It was rock but hot damn was it crafter well.

When he sings "You don't need a penny just to hang around,
But if you've got a nickel, won't you lay your money down?" I've never heard passion until that line. Man, on MB, this band is underrated. I even liked that recent song "de ja vu all over again."

I love CCR dude...They own and something i always found kind of comical after the days of CCR when fogerty still toured is when they tried to Sew(sorry dont know how to spell that) him for sounding too much like CCR....its not his fault if he had a signature voice

sue. Yeah well the label that sued him now puts out his records. the Fogerty Mellencamp tour might have been the best one of 2005.
