I saw the current lineup of Grand Funk ( with former .38 Special singer Max Carl and former Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick ) in Oct. 2013 and it wasn't too bad. The only qualm I had was they played .38 Special's 'Second Chance' yet they didn't play 'Bad Time'. Frankly, I think most would've rather heard the latter. Truth be told, I mainly went because I hadn't seen Bruce play live in any capacity since June 1995 when his days in Kiss were coming to an end, unbeknownst to fans at the time, of course. It was great to see him onstage again, and DESERVES to be. Grand Funk made the right choice if I do say so myself. Bruce did justice to the classics and they all seemed to be having a good time. And he's remained with them for 13 years now. They have some good songs unquestionably even though I'm not a big fan.

In my opinion they were over looked due to the basic style of music the band made. A huge following that did not care what the mainstream music industry thought of them.........They are not even in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame which is criminal.

I'm guessing that Northwinds has only heard a couple of their songs.
