One of their more obscure gems, and one of my favorite songs of all time:
Voted for Village Green Preservation Society in the poll. This is my favorite song on that album (not to be confused with the well known title song). Love the harpsichord on this. Another one of my favorite Kinks songs. Even though it's lip synched, I love their slightly mischievous performance here, and those clothes, and Pete Quaife's bass labeled, "This Is Not A Piano". ![]() |
