I fail to see how their early material is "nerdy".

The Beatles did a lot of the same sort of thing, and it was cute as hell. British Invasion pop/merseybeat is really good stuff.

The previously mentioned songs along with quite a few others in my opinion made them look nerdy at the time. Just my opinion and whom ever would like to offer up theirs is greatly welcomed.

Perhaps the opportunity to go over some songs like The Midnight Rambler, Brown Sugar, Gimme Shelter, Street Fighting Man, Honkey Tonk Woman pretty much all of their Albums like Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers all washed away that nerdy sound that they started off their career with in my opinion......
