Well I don't call Phish Prog really, more like jam rock... Pink floyd and Radiohead have to be mentioned, but there's alot of great bands out there that don't get enough credit for their progressiveness, Wishbone ash, Uraih heap, and to a lesser extent King crimson.

Man, I'm not the one to ask to define anything, I'm so horrible at describing things, It's Progressive, Think like Genesis, Radiohead, damnit, Somebody jump in here and define it.

Prog rock stands for progressive rock.
It defines bands that try to move away from the limitations of popular rock sounds of the time and move in new unexplored directions where different forms or sounds of rock can be found. Sub-genres include art-rock, symphonic rock, and prog metal. But yeah, I WOULD classify most of Phish as Prog rock.
