yes Hendrix has been one of my favourite guitarrists for a very long time now and i think he's on of the best...if not one of those very few musicians who made an impact on how to arrange and approach music...always keep in mind that he never studied music or learned how to read keys or to arrange harmonies...he was an autodidact musician..one who could not benefit from a education of music in a higher learning facility, unlike musicians like David Gilmour, Brian Jones or Johnny Winter...

and having created those mavellous sounds and bluespieces make him a standout in the crowd anytime..and not only for his guitar skills but also for being a very modest and polite man who spoke of his fellow musicians (Eric Clapton, "Champion" Jack Dupree or Jimi Page) only in the highest tones...

John bonham also had no musical background or knowledge, he just played strictly by ear.

Default Jimmy Hendrix

There are tons of things wicked about Jimmy Hendrix.

His lyrics are absolutely phenominal.
His skills with a guitar are amazing.
His singing is pretty good nonetheless

Jimmy Hendrix is amazing.

Any thoughts about him?

I like his song Foxy Lady. a lot.

I think his guitar skills are amazing as well. but I don't think his lyrics are spectacular or anything. I just think they were well suited for his voice.
Now that I find amazing

I would've done that, if Crowquill hadn't .

Yeah Hendrix was extremely good, and one of, (if not the only one), to play the guitar upside down and backwards.

Well he was left handed, so playing it backwards would be like playing it frontwords for any right handed fellow... Not really dificult.

Though Jimi could play his guitar frontwards, which for him would be like playing it backwards.
