I've wanted to get into Hendrix for a long time. What albums do you think i should start with?

He's good, for virtuoso's I love Buckethead, at least he takes the risks, and everything isn't breakneck.
Cosstown traffic is probably his best rock song.

Lmao my Mate tried to tell me a couple of days ago that the late Dimebag Darrell was a better guitarist than Hendrix so i stood there and laughed for about 10 minutes. My favorite song has to be Along the watchtower

Listen to Quadrophena, or Live At Leeds...You cant tell me that Townshend didnt have some skill. He was a major influence on Hendrix to boot, Hendrix called him a mad genious... People give Hendrix credit for a lot of things, primarly his use of lots of distortion and feedback and techniques like pick scrapes and stacked amplification, things that Townshend was doing years prior...Rock music would be noticebly different without Pete Townshend. |
